Wise Sage
Ingredients:
- 3-4oz Mionetto Brut Prosecco
- 5 Sage Leaves (muddled)
- 1 oz Ginger Syrup
- 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
*Optional: 1 oz Fresh Pear Juice
Garnish: Sage leaf
Glassware: Coupe
Preparation:
1. In a cocktail shaker add 5 sage leaves and fresh lime juice.
2. Muddle sage leaves lightly. 4-5 times to press out the oils.
3. Add ginger syrup.
4. To make it a little more seasonal add an ounce of fresh pear juice.
5. Add ice and shake. Strain into chilled flute or champagne coupe.
6. Top with 3-4oz of Mionetto Brut Prosecco. Garnish with a sage leaf.
Ginger Syrup:
You can use a high quality store bought brand.
House made recipe: In a sauce pan bring 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of water, and ¼ pound of freshly peeled and slice ginger. Stir contents for about 30 mins. Strain out ginger. Stir remaining contents till sugar has dissolved.
